I am very pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s CCDC Chemical Crystallography Prize for Younger Scientists is Dr Lauren Hatcher (University of Bath).
Lauren’s research in the field of photocrystallography has really pushed forward the boundaries of what can be achieved with metastable linkage isomers in terms of the experimental limits of the materials and crucially the structural understanding. Both the research itself and her skills in communicating the science have shown what a valuable member of the British crystallography community she is.
Lauren will give a prize lecture on her work at the upcoming BCA Spring Meeting in Lancaster (10th-13th April 2017) where she will also be presented with her prize.
